Kristi LaRee began songwriting at just seven years old and by thirteen was playing the piano fluently by ear. Her first performances began in her church in her hometown of Sturgis, SD. Her musical reach continued to broaden with venues and concerts large and small all over her local region and in neighboring states. word spread about her music as did her growing fan base and with that she found her CD's selling out at each concert.

as a  Singer/Songwriter Kristi LaRee's soulful vocal range of four octaves spans the emotional highs and lows of each song with feeling and resonance that leaves you emotionally tied to each note. Kristi's music is lyrically driven with acoustic piano supporting the melodies. Her songwriting spans several genres predominately in Country, Acoustic Pop, and Contemporary Christian. Kristi says it was her grandmother who was one of her primary musical inspirations; a ragtime pianist who played in a local band and inspired her to learn to play piano. vocalists like Etta James,  Whitney houston, Celine Dion, Norah Jones, Alicia keys, Martina McBride, Allison Krauss, Kelly Clarkson, and  Carrie Underwood also played a part in influencing and inspiring Kristi as she developed her own sound.

The homegrown, hard-working, Midwestern, big sky mentality from growing up in a rural area taught her to

never quit,

work hard,

dream big and

make life mean something.

That work ethic balances this soul driven songstress in her aspirations and efforts. Her family, faith and love for people all drive her music and the way she conducts herself on and off stage. with that kind of focus Her musical career has always been one of mission;

to inspire and to make a difference.

That has driven her with conviction and focus in order to use her career for the greater good in supporting several meaningful organizations and missions in need along the way. this singer/songwriter stands out as someone to watch for as she makes her way in the industry with purpose and passion.
